What "biodegradable" really means
Many pads claim to be biodegradable without any testing to back it up. Legitimate claims are measured against standards like ASTM D5511, which evaluates how materials break down in landfill conditions over time. Ask for real data, not vibes.
Performance vs. planet, you shouldn't have to choose
Cheaper "green" pads often sacrifice absorbency, leaking and driving you to use more pads (which isn't sustainable at all). The goal is a pad that performs and uses more responsible materials.

- Check for a plant-based backing rather than pure plastic
- Demand published test results for any biodegradability claim
